AVOH, OH - Peter Zimmermann of the Gateway Grizzlies has been named the Frontier League Player of the Week. Infielder Peter Zimmermann had a busy week, beginning with tying a Frontier League record on Tuesday. In the series opener against the Florence Y'alls, the Grizzlies' first baseman homered three times to tie the league single-game record and drove in all five Gateway runs. Zimmermann continued to torch Florence, homering again on Wednesday while driving in two. He stayed hot in the series against Evansville, picking up four hits in a series win that punched Gateway's ticket to the playoffs. Zimmermann finished his week with four homers, nine RBIs, and three stolen bases while slashing .476 AVG/.538 OBP/1.048 SLG. Zimmermann, a St. Louis native, is the second Grizzly this season to win multiple weekly awards, joining Deylen Miley as a two-time winner. In his third season with Gateway, the 27-year-old has set career-highs in stolen bases and games played and has notched his second straight 20-home run season.

AVON, OH – Bryan Pena of the Ottawa Titans has been named the Frontier League Pitcher of the Week. Right-hander Bryan Pena started the first game of a doubleheader for the Ottawa Titans against the Sussex County Miners on Saturday and went the full seven innings without allowing a run to grab his fifth victory of the season. Pena was in elite form, surrendering only three hits and one walk while collecting 10 strikeouts. Pena is the third member of the Titans to win a weekly award and the second pitcher, following Grant Larson from the week of June 10th. His second season in Ottawa is proving to be the best of his professional career, collecting 82 strikeouts in 63 innings and a career-best 4.57 ERA. The former Washington farmhand currently leads the Titans in strikeouts and is tied for second in wins with five.

AVON, OH – Marc-Antoine Lebreux of the Québec Capitales has been named the Frontier League Player of the Week. Marc-Antoine Lebreux is one part of a trio of outstanding players that patrol the outfield for Québec. He has been honored as Player of the Week after leading the league with 14 hits over the past week, including multi-hit performances in five of the six games he started. In the series finale against the New England Knockouts on Sunday, Lebreux collected three hits in five at-bats with a double and two RBIs. He finished a 5-1 week going 14-for-27 at the plate with a home run, a double, and two stolen bases. His weekly splits came out to .519 AVG/.581 OBP/.667 SLG. Lebreux is the first member of the Capitales to win a weekly award in 2024 and the first since Steven Fuentes in June of 2023. In his third season with Québec, the Montreal native has blasted a career-high 11 home runs to go along with career lines in on-base percentage (.423) and slugging (.468). He also leads the Capitales in batting average (.289) and ranks third in stolen bases (17).
