With the snow flying in New York's Capital Region, the Tri-City ValleyCats completed a flurry of roster moves in preparation for the upcoming 2023 season. On Wednesday the team announced five moves, headlined by the reacquisition of 2019 and 2021 ValleyCats 1B/OF Zach Biermann.

The Ottawa Titans Baseball Club announced the re-signing of Canadian infielder Brendon Dadson and singing of right-handed pitcher Alec Thomas for the upcoming 2023 Frontier League season.

The New Jersey Jackals announced today a major resigning that will bolster the middle of the lineup. Outfielder Josh Rehwaldt has signed a contract extension to return to the Jackals for his third season in New Jersey.

The Tri-City ValleyCats announced that they have acquired LHP Elijah Gill from the Chicago Dogs of the American Association in exchange for two-time Frontier League All-Star 1B Brad Zunica.

The New York Boulders are proud to annouce that the the annual Never Forget Heroes Baseball Classic between the New York Police Department (NYPD) and the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) will return to Clover Stadium in 2023. The 2023 game is scheduled for Satuday, September 9 with a 6:00 PM first pitch, and will be followed by a post-game fireworks display. Tickets are $15 and those purchasing through the Boulders' website will also have the opportunity to make a donation to either the NYPD or FDNY and proceeds will be donated to the Widows & Children Fund. The NYPD team will use the 1st base dugout, with FDNY occupying the 3rd base dugout. More information on the event can be found here. Debuting in 1993, the Frontier League is the largest and longest-running of the modern independent leagues and features teams stretching from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mississippi River and from the Ohio River to the St. Lawrence Seaway. In September of 2020, the Frontier League reached an agreement to become a "Partner League" with Major League Baseball. As a "Partner League," the Frontier League and its teams will meet on a regular basis with MLB representatives to discuss joint marketing and promotional opportunities, as well as collaborate on initiatives to provide organized baseball to communities throughout the United States and Canada.
