Gateway Grizzlies catcher Andres Regnault and Florence Y’alls right-hander Kevin Hahn have won this week’s Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively. These awards are chosen by Pointstreak, who is the official statistical provider of the Frontier League.

Regnault is Gateway’s first Player of the Week Award winner this season. Regnault’s four home runs—one in each of the last four games—were the most in the league this week. His ten RBIs were also the best in the league. He was second in the league in batting average over the last seven days, hitting .471 in five games played, and his eight hits and five runs scored also ranked among the league’s best.

The 22-year-old is in his first season with the Gateway Grizzlies in the Frontier League. He spent 2016-2019 in the organization of the New York Mets, playing three seasons in the Dominican Summer League and one in the Appalachian League. He currently ranks fifth in the Frontier League with seven home runs and is batting .306 on the season, with twenty-two hits and seventeen RBIs in twenty-three games.

Hahn is Florence’s first Pitcher of the Week and third weekly award winner this year after Harrison DiNicola and Chad Sedio each took home the Player of the Week award in June. Hahn tossed eight scoreless innings in his outing against Evansville on Tuesday (6/29), allowing just two hits and zero walks while striking out five in the 1-0 win against the Otters. In his outing against Joliet on Sunday (7/4), he threw six innings, allowing just one run on seven hits and three walks, while striking out two in the 15-2 rout. His 0.64 ERA was among the league’s best this week.

Hahn is also in his first season in the Frontier League after spending 2020 in the California Winter League with the Palm Springs Chill. He played at Cal State Stanislaus and in the Northwoods League in 2018 and 2019. He is currently 3-1 with a 3.46 ERA and twenty-eight strikeouts in 41.2 innings pitched.
