Avon, Oh. – The Lake Erie Crushers and City of Avon announced today they will be presenting a spectacular fireworks show at Crushers Stadium on Saturday, July 4th.  The show will take place at approximately 9:30 PM on the 4th of July and there will be no charge for admission.

“I believe we can safely host a fireworks display as long as folks social distance, wear masks, and stay in or near the immediate vicinity of their car to watch the display” stated Avon Mayor Bryan Jensen.  The Crushers, who are presented by Mercy Health, will not be playing that night. Attendees can park in the stadium lot or in the grass at the east entrance to the stadium off Recreation Lane and Route 611.

“We are happy to be partnering with the City to celebrate this great American holiday”, stated Crushers Co-Owner Tom Kramig.  Mayor Jensen added, “Realizing many things are not the same as they were just a few months ago, I am hoping this is one small way that families can get together to celebrate our country’s independence and reflect on the things that we are grateful for.  Please commit to being safe at this event.”

For more information on this event, please follow the City of Avon’s Facebook page. More information regarding parking will be available the week of June 29th.
