The Capitals have been on the job this holiday season as several changes have been made to the squad for the upcoming season. Seven players, including Arik Sikula, were released and three launchers signed to join the team. Receivers Corey Bass and Chris Shaw, infielder Nick DeTringo and Stayler Hernandez and pitchers Austin Chrismon and Seth Davis are players who, like Arik Sikula, have been released in recent weeks. The organization would like to thank Arik for his contribution for the past three seasons which he has played in front of Quebec fans.
Three young pitchers join the team: Right-hand gunners Marshall Shill, Joe Rivera and Brock Knoten have ratified agreements between them and the Capitals for the next season. All three having played in the Pacific Association of Independent Baseball in the summer of 2019, they will have to earn their place during training camp to start the 2020 campaign in the relievers’ enclosure. Acquired in exchange sending Jack Charleston to the American Association, outfielder and first baseman Riley Pittman also officially signed with the team
