TROIS-RIVIERES CONTINUES SUCCESSFUL OFF-SEASON

Last October, the management of the Trois-Rivieres Aigles set very ambitious goals to ensure the team’s sustainability: the sale of the stadium name, the involvement of the local business community, increased financial support from the city of Trois-Rivières and community engagement. As of today, the organization is proud to say that many of them have been affected.

The Trifluvian company Quillorama has entered into a three-year agreement with Les Aigles to put its name on the stadium. “Quillorama is one of the most important entertainment centres in Trois-Rivières. With over 2,000 people playing in either of our leagues and thousands of casual bowlers, we consider that we have a lot in common with the Aigles. – says Alexandre Thibeault, general manager at Quillorama Trois-Rivières. “It goes without saying that as a proud Trifluvian, we had to do our part to keep an asset as important as the Aigles here in Trois-Rivières,” he continues. For the president of the Aigles, Paul Poisson, “finding a sponsor for the name of the stadium was a priority for the organization to ensure its sustainability. We are very pleased to associate the Great Aigles family with a local company that shares the same organizational values as ours.”

Aigles management was also proud to announce that several Mauricie companies have agreed to invest in the organization as benefactors. Over the next three years, a dozen companies and individuals will contribute more than $100,000. At the same time, the Aigles’ corporate sales are on the uphold with 80% of the 2019 agreements renewed. Finally, the Aigles have agreed to new corporate agreements with several suppliers that provide significant savings. As part of this, Labatt Brewery has extended its partnership agreement.

Aigles management also welcomed the announcement of additional funding for minor baseball and stadium maintenance.

“Our elected officials recognized the importance of maintaining the quality of our infrastructure and the outstanding performance of the elite baseball network in our region. This investment will ensure the health of our sport,” added Poisson

To this big news is added an increase in the pre-sale of season tickets and Flexi-Choice booklets. “We are very optimistic and delighted with the community’s commitment to show us that the Aigles must stay for a long time,” commented Aigles General Manager René Martin.

Fans will still have the opportunity to show their love for their team in the coming weeks. From December 12 to 23, 2019, the Aigles will hold a kiosk at Les Rivieres shopping mall where Flexi booklets, season tickets and store merchandise will be on sale. They will be located near the information booth alongside the UQTR Patriots, with the two organizations agreeing on a multi-level collaboration.
