V2 Classification:  Any player who is over 27 years of age but has not attained thirty (30) years of age prior to January 1 of that playing season regardless of classification would fall into the V2 Classification for the season.  This player must have been listed on the specific team roster (Active or Injured Reserved) for a total of 100 regular season games combined during the previous two seasons.

Any player that is 21 years of age or younger prior to January 1 of any season and is entering his first year in the Frontier League, regardless of professional experience will be considered a Rookie by Frontier League Rules. Any player who is 22 years of age or older prior to January 1 of any season, is entering his first year in the Frontier League, and has prior professional baseball experience, will be classified by the existing Frontier League Rules.
Each club must carry a minimum (combination of R1 and R2 players) of nine (9) rookies (22 man roster), 10 rookies (23 man roster) and 11 rookies (24 man roster). A club may carry a maximum of seven (7) players with one year (L1) of professional experience, three (3) players with two years (L2) of professional experience, two (2) players with three or more years (V1) playing experience, and/or one (1) player with three or more years (V2) playing experience but can surpass the age of 27 but not exceed 30 years of age prior to January 1 of that playing season.
